Happy Saturday everyone! Today I have a polish to show you that has at least two versions and I think there is probably even more.
I’m not sure what OPI was thinking with this polish. It’s not like a little too much green pigment was used and the polish is now a different shade of green, no, Gargantuan GREEN Grape is now BLUE!!
I will be showing you my two versions of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape – a bright baby blue and a bright lime green. My old black label green GGG I bought from Ebay in 2013, and my blue GGG I bought at Trade Secrets also in 2013.
The difference in formula is like night and day with these two polishes.
The blue version is a chalky, streaky, flooding the cuticles kind of polish. I did 2 thinnish coats and a 3rd thicker coat. The end result is a beautiful fresh, crisp, clean baby blue. It makes you forget about the struggles you had putting it on.
Now the green version is not chalky, streaky, and it stays out of your cuticles. (I love, Love, LOVE old black label OPI’s!!) The formula just feels and looks different. Sort of crelly like. I also did 3 coats of this one and again you are left with a crisp, clean, bright lime green.
So, here are the pictures. 3 coats of each version of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape…

So, it seemed rather bland on it’s own, so I added 1 coat of China Glaze Can I Get An Untz Untz. I don’t know why this polish always bubbles on me! I cannot see it in person, but my pictures always show all the little bubbles. UGH!

I wasn’t done yet however! I then added 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I like it better this way although my pictures do not do it justice. It’s nice, but I wish I had just left well enough alone and left the original mani without any glitter. Oh well, I still am enjoying this mani very much!
Final mani…
