"Evolving Mani" – Rimmel Purple Rain — Sally Hansen Lime Lights — Finger Paints Peacock Portrait

Hi everyone!  Today’s mani has evolved over the last two days. Here’s a sneak peek at the final 2 steps and all the polishes used…

I started out with Rimmel London Salon Pro in Purple Rain. This was a very nice medium purple crème. Formula was good. I like the really wide brush on this polish! I used 2 coats plus topcoat for my pictures…

I saw a picture on the MUA Nail Board quite awhile ago of someone who used Sally Hansen Lime Lights over a purple and it was so gorgeous!  I did not own Lime Lights and it is dc’d, so I figured that was a lost cause.  Low and behold I was checking out Storenvy one day (A dangerous thing for me so I don’t do it often!) and someone had Lime Lights for only $2!!  To make shipping worthwhile to Canada I *had* to add in a few more things and about 10 days later I had it in my little hands!

So I added 1 coat of Sally Hansen Lime Lights to my Rimmel Purple Rain and snapped a couple photos. (My hands are not as red in real life as they appear in the photos. I think it was the early morning light that was turning them that shade!)

I couldn’t stop there though. I then added Finger Paints Peacock Portrait to a couple of accent fingers.  I’m really liking the final mani. Although I liked it every step of the way too.

Here’s a couple pictures taken in the shade…

Well, that’s all for today.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.
