Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is a very subtle thermal color changing nail polish from In The Mood.
In The Mood – Guilty 981 – Thermal Color Changing Polish
In The Mood Guilty is a bright turquoise nail polish that dries matte. I bought this polish in 2011 and it still does change color. I can see it in person, but it is very subtle and the photos didn’t really pick up the change. It was funny because I left it matte and it did not change at all, even with hot and cold water put on it, so I thought it must not “work” anymore.
Some people say color changing polishes
have a shelf life of only a year
or so before they start not changing anymore.
The polish is still usable, it will just stay in one of
the formulations and not change back and forth anymore.
But once I put topcoat on, the subtle change was noticeable on my nails. I used 2 coats for the photos Some I left in the matte finish then I added topcoat. The bottle shows a pretty duo chrome effect, but the purple flash doesn’t show up on the nail at all.
