Hi everyone! Today’s manicure features a sparkly nail polish from Quo by Orly. Just to confuse those of us in Canada we have Orly polishes at Sally Beauty and at Shoppers Drug Mart we have a brand called Quo by Orly. These are always the same polishes as their Orly cousins, but of course have a different name. I’m not sure who they are trying to fool. The Quo by Orly’s are just smaller and more expensive. I usually will only buy them on clearance. That being said, I couldn’t find the Orly polish (not that I looked very hard) but was at Shoppers so I just picked up a couple from this newest collection.
Quo by Orly Retro Glam is the exact same polish as Orly Feel the Funk from the Spring 2016 Melrose Collection. This is a pretty lilac base loaded with “chunky” holo glitter. It dries pretty smooth. I didn’t even use a topcoat but one thick or two normal coats of topcoat should smooth this out. Formula was very good. It starts out sheer, but just 2 coats build up very nicely. I added 2 coats over yesterday’s mani on all but my ring finger which has 2 coats all by itself. You can see there’s not much difference in opacity between them. This is a very bling-y nail polish. I really like it a lot!
