Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is my first attempt at a “blobicure”. This was very easy to do, but I do need a little more practice or longer nails would probably help too. My middle and ring finger came out really good though!

A “blobicure” is very easy to do. I just watched a video and went for it.
Here are the steps I did:
Put on my normal basecoat.
Paint one normal coat of the base color on all fingers. Wait a minute or two.
Open both nail polish bottles you want to use.
Working one nail at a time, paint a very thick second coat of the base color.
Take the second color and let it drip onto the still very wet and thick base color. It will “blob” out all on it’s own.
Do as many blobs as you want/will fit on your nail.
Topcoat and you’re done! (I waited quite awhile before topcoating so that the two colors wouldn’t mix together.)
I also found that the shimmer base did not want to let the creme polish “blob” very well. (see my thumb nail below) It’s probably best to have a creme color as the base color.
Onto the colors! I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (original) as the base. This is from the Xtreme Wear line. Sally Hansen reformulated the color of Pacific Blue a couple years ago and changed it from a perfect dusty blue creme to a dark blue shimmer. And I guess they thought no one would notice? Sally, why not just retire the original color and name the new shimmer something else? I’ll never understand companies that do that. OG Pacific Blue is, like I said, just a perfect dusty, yet bright, blue. I’m so glad I hunted this down and bought it before it disappeared!
Sally Hansen Summerlime is from the Complete Salon Manicure line. This was a LE color back in the summer of 2014. This one was all the talk on the Nail Board, but it was kind of hard to find, so I feel very fortunate to have been able to find it! A beautiful lime green shimmer. Both of these polishes have excellent formulas.

As I was taking photos today I noticed my manicure matches my wall colors perfectly. LOL!

Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
