Hey everyone! Sad day for music yesterday, losing Prince. My high school years were filled with all his popular songs! He will be missed by so many! Today’s manicure features nail polishes named after song titles of two of his big hits.
Colors by Llarowe Purple Rain is a dark purple jelly base loaded with blue shimmer. I have the original Purple Rain. It had been discontinued due to a pigment becoming unavailable, but she was able to find a suitable replacement pigment and reissued the polish again, but now I think it has been retired. Hopefully she will bring it back one day. Formula was excellent. The shimmer isn’t really noticeable indoors, but this is a great polish! I used 2 coats plus topcoat.
I also have on Deborah Lippmann Let’s Go Crazy. This is another dark purple jelly base loaded this time with glitter. This is the same mix of glitter you will find in a few of her polishes, Happy Birthday being one. There is every color of glitter imaginable in here in a few different sizes. Formula was excellent! The glitter comes out easily and flows onto the nail effortlessly. This dries pretty smooth for so much glitter. I used 3 coats of polish and 1 coat of topcoat.
Colors by Llarowe Purple Rain, 2 coats plus topcoat & Deborah Lippmann Let’s Go Crazy, 3 coats plus topcoat.

What a great manicure for such a sad day. 😦 I was going to purge Let's Go Crazy because it's so dark, but I will keep it forever now. It's sad we lost Prince! My manicure was Color Club's Eternal Beauty. Somehow holographic purple seemed appropriate.
