Hi everyone! Today I have a treat for you! I have the very first collection from a brand new Indie nail polish maker, Covet Lacquer. They are based out of Canada and I am so excited to be able to share these gorgeous polishes with you! If you are a fan of holographic nail polish, you are in the right place! Now, you know this will be pic heavy so get comfortable!
Stay tuned to the bottom of the post for a special treat from the maker of the polish!! There are 6 polishes in this collection, so let’s get started!
I just got these in the mail on Friday and they were packed great, lots of bubble wrap and peanuts!
All you knitters out there will recognize the polish names in this, The Unravelled Collection. All the photos are 2 coats with NailTek II basecoat and HK Girl topcoat. So that I don’t keep repeating myself, almost all of these polishes could be one coaters! They are super pigmented and the formula on all of them is so smooth and easy to apply. The formula is on the thick side but no need for any thinner or anything. Just know it is not runny. To me, it’s the perfect formula as I prefer a thicker nail polish. The brush is a bit on the wide side, which I also prefer. You can click on the photos and they should get larger. I’m going to go alphabetically, so first up is Flick.
Flick is an orange based red holographic. Excellent formula, 2 coats.

Loop is a gorgeous purple holographic. Excellent formula, 2 coats…

Pompom is a navy blue holographic. Excellent formula, 2 coats.

Purl is a Tardis/cobalt blue holographic. If you love Nails Inc Baker St. or Sinful Colors Endless Blue, you need this one! Excellent formula, 2 coats.

Stitch is a bit of a chameleon! It’s a gorgeous emerald green indoors, but step outside and it turns into a beautiful teal! Stunning! Excellent formula, 2 coats.

Twist is a burgundy merlot. Excellent formula, 2 coats.

Wow! This is an excellent first collection from Covet Lacquer! These jewel tones are very versatile and can take you from spring, all the way through summer, they’d be beautiful in the fall and right into Christmas time.
I thought from the pictures that Purl would be my favorite, and it is. It will be going on my toes as soon as I’m done writing this post! But these are all wonderful. Stitch totally had me fooled when I got outside and saw the teal come out and who doesn’t love a purple holo? And the reds and navy blue are all so beautiful and easy to apply!
