Hi everyone! Today’s manicure looked better in my head than on my nails, but I love these two polishes! I’ll just have to wear them alone and not as a combo! Both of the Color by Llarowe nail polishes are from her Spring 2016 A Tribute To A Wonderful Friend Collection.
On the Wings of Eagles is a murky, greyed taupe with red to purple to gold shimmer. In my office the shimmer looked mostly red which is why I chose the accent color I did. I had to add a few drops of nail polish thinner but then the polish had a great formula! I love these murky colors and the shimmer really shows up in all lighting! I didn’t see any gold shift except for in the photos though.
According to the website, You Make Me Smile is a “Bright almost neon pinky red coral soft linear holo with blue/purple shimmer“. I have to disagree with that description. Now, to be fair, I did not have any sun so maybe it looks different in bright light, but to me it looked like a bright ruby red with very subtle holo. Very, very different than the online photos on her website. It’s still a nice polish with a great formula. I used 2 coats plus topcoat for this polish as well. So, I’m a fan of these nail polishes just maybe not together as a combo. Although it looks better in real life than in the photos!
Colors by Llarowe On the Wings of Eagles, 2 coats plus topcoat and Colors by Llarowe You Make Me Smile, 2 coats plus topcoat.
