Hi everyone! For today’s manicure I’m using one of the new China Glaze Rebel Collection nail polishes. This is a fantastic collection which I’ll be showing you over the next days.
Combat Blue Ts is a rich, velvety, matte finish navy blue. Formula on this one is tricky. It dries so fast as you’re painting! If you go over the same spot you will get these lines in the finish and they do not dry away. I found you can sort of stop those lines by using a really thick coat (it gives you a little more time to maneuver the polish around) but then you run the risk of it pooling in your cuticles and if you’ve ever painted with a dark blue polish then tried to clean up with a small brush and acetone, you know you can have a mess on your hands (literally)!
So I did 2 medium thin coats and stayed as far away from my cuticles as possible. If I could find my liquid latex that would have come in handy for this polish, but it’s still packed away somewhere.
I really love the velvety look you get with this nail polish. If you’re careful in painting, this could be a one coater, it’s that saturated. I added a shiny topcoat on my pinky finger to let you see what it looks like that way.
Also at the end of the post I will show what two of the other polishes from this collection look like layered over this one.

I added just 1 coat of Holo At Ya Girl and Don’t Mesh With Me from the same China Glaze Fall Rebel Collection so you can see what these polishes look like layered over Combat Blue Ts. They were much more dense than I thought they would be. They dried very smooth though (and so sparkly, especially Don’t Mesh With Me). I did not add any additional topcoat for my quick swatches.

Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
