China Glaze – Smoke and Ashes // Spring 2012 Hunger Games Collection

Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is another oldie from China Glaze. It is still available on Amazon and probably Ebay as well.

Smoke and Ashes is a black base with green, blue and gold shimmer. The shimmer is really not evident on the nail except to add a little sparkle every now and then. So it adds a little extra oomph so your nails don’t look completely black. What it lacks in shimmer payoff it more than makes up for with application. This was one of the easiest, smoothest applications in quite awhile. I think one coat may have made it easier to notice the shimmer, but I did 2 coats plus topcoat today. I really like this one, but I do wish the shimmer would show up more.
