Layered Mani: Orly – Blend & Orly – Pixie Powder

Hi everyone! Today’s manicure started out one way and ended up another way. Two Orly polishes, two different looks.

Orly – Blend & Orly – Pixie Powder

I started today with a polish from the Fall 2014 Smoky Collection from Orly. This is a purple leaning dark taupe creme nail polish. Formula is excellent! This could be a one coater if you’re careful. I did two coats to be safe for the photos. This was so easy and smooth to apply, like butter! It’s a great color and so shiny too! I love it!

Then I added just one coat of Orly Pixie Powder to all but my ring finger. This one is from the Fall 2013 Surreal Collection. It has a clear base with what almost looks like purple to gray duo glitters and silver glitter. I don’t know if they are duo’s or just purple. The glitter are all very small and fine. I don’t think this would ever build up to be opaque. I would only wear this one as a glitter topper. If you are picky about super smoothness, you may need a thick topcoat or two coats of topcoat. I used just one coat and it was fine for me, but it was not as smooth as glass. I love this polish as well! I think this was a fun combination of polishes.

I don’t see Orly polish much anymore. I miss it. I really love the bigger bottles and the rubberized lids.
