Sally Hansen Comparison:Miracle Gel Plush Blush VS. Insta Dry Make It Snappy

Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is a comparison of two pretty pale pinks made by Sally Hansen. I just bought both of these at Ulta the other day, the Miracle Gel in a Duo with it’s topcoat and on half off clearance (score!) and the Insta Dri in a new display called Pink Fling. Let’s see how close these two pale pinks really are.

Comparison: Sally Hansen Plush Blush & Make It Snappy

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Plush Blush came out in July 2016. It’s a pale pink with a smooth silvery blue shimmer. This one leans to the cool side with that silvery blue shimmer. I found it to be a bit patchy, needing three coats to cover. I added a coat of matte topcoat before my third coat to try to smooth it out. You’ll find this one on my index and pinky fingers.

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Make It Snappy is from a brand new display called Pink Fling. This also is a pale pink but this has a chunkier pink shimmer. I find this one to be a bit warmer toned. I also found it to be a little patchy, also needing three coats for good coverage with a matte topcoat before the third coat. This one is on my middle and ring fingers.

Comparison: I love the wide brush that both of these polishes have. Formulas were very similar, both needing three coats. After a patchy start, in the end they were both nice and smooth. Inside I could not tell a difference between the two at all. I personally preferred the look of the Insta Dri. The chunkier pink shimmer made it my favorite of the two. Bottom line, unless you need to own every pale pink out there, you will not need both of these polishes. Plush Blush leaned more cool, Make it Snappy more warm. Pick your favorite and let me know in the comments!

Here’s a reminder of which polish is on which finger…

  1. I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else encountering problems
with your blog. It looks like some of the text on your posts are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them too?
This may be a issue with my web browser because I’ve
    had this happen before. Cheers

    1. Hi Gilda! Thanks for letting me know you’re having trouble viewing my blog! I would love to hear if others are encountering a problem with it too. I’ve looked at it with an Android, iPhone and my desktop using Chrome and I don’t have the problem you are describing so I’m no help trying to troubleshoot it for you.
