Hey everyone! Today’s manicure was hard to get color accurate indoor pictures. The pictures all look very blue, but I would say in real life this polish is a bit more aqua, very mermaid-y. Salon Perfect is only found at Walmart. I’ve bought this recently, within the last 2-3 months.
It also brought to mind my very favorite polish ever, OPI Absolutely Alice. I knew it wasn’t going to be an exact dupe, but as I was cropping my photos it just kept reminding me of it, like a distant cousin or something. I did a quick comparison of them at the very end.
Siren Song is an aqua/blue base with blue and a green/gold micro glitter and a bit larger silver glitter. Earlier today when I was taking and cropping my photos, sitting at my desk the polish leaned very aqua. Now that it’s a couple hours later, I’m sitting at my desk again and it’s starting to look a little more blue. So I guess, depending on the lighting and time of day, this polish will look quite different. I did color correct a couple of pictures to the more aqua look so you can see them too.
Formula was really good. The brush was too “mop like” for me though. Sometimes when brushes sit in polishes like this one, dense microglitters, it seems to affect the brush and makes them very spongy and hard to use. I had a hard time with this one, but I did manage. The color is gorgeous though, so well worth the brush hassles. This has also worn remarkably well. I’ve had it on for two days now and have not had any tip wear even. I used two coats without topcoat.
This polish looks like it would be textured, but it is quite smooth for a glitter. I think only one coat of topcoat would smooth this right out. Love this one!

Outside in overcast skies…
Inside with sun through a window…
Last night with flash…
A couple of cool looking effects the flash made…
A couple I color corrected to look more aqua like it did earlier in the day…
A quick comparison with OPI Absolutely Alice. OPI is on the left of all photos, Salon Perfect on the right. These are not dupes, but maybe very distant cousins. The OPI has a clear base with all uniform sized microglitter in a bright blue, black and gold…
Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.
