Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is a shiny one from Zoya. This originally came out in summer 2014, but it is still available on their website HERE if you like it. I am not affiliated with Zoya.
Staasi (ZP736) is described by Zoya as, “a brilliant citron green with a gold metallic glaze and holographic finish. Featuring the exclusive liquid-metal holographic jelly formula with 2 coat coverage”. Hmmm, I don’t know about all that.
I see a bright, clean, spring green jelly base with iridescent glitter and flakes, sparkly green micro glitter and a ton of golden micro shimmer. All that does make the polish shine like a metallic but I don’t see any type of holographic anything. No shimmer, no glitter, nothing. So I’m not sure what they meant by that part of the description. It’s also pretty sheer. I used three coats and still have quite a bit of visible nail line showing. Usually there is a lot of shine and sparkle to the polish so it does distract from the nail line showing, but I would not say this has a two coat coverage at all. It does dry very smooth though and only one coat of topcoat is needed.
All that said, I do really love this polish a lot. I don’t like that Zoya is misleading in the description, but the polish itself is gorgeous!
