Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is another from the latest Color Box. The theme this quarter was blue, and today’s polish comes to us from Tonic. This is a great name for this nail polish because it truly is a Masterpiece! (By the way, Manna is one of the creators behind The Color Box).
Unfortunately this box is not available, but if Tonic had any leftover polishes from the box, she will be selling them in her store individually. I have not heard of a date for this sale as of yet. Manna’s Mystical Masterpiece is described as, “a cobalt blue duochrome that shifts to purple with a fine linear holographic finish”. I can see that, but I’d written down it was a very bright navy blue shifting to purple (and at one point, I even saw a bright pink while outside in the shade) and with a scattered holographic. I can see why they say it’s linear, but I think it’s a combination of both. Inside in my dark office it is more navy, but it does brighten up to a cobalt in brighter light.
Either way, it is so beautiful! Formula on this one was excellent! I like Tonic’s thicker formula but this one didn’t seem quite as thick as usual. I thought it was perfect. It went on so smooth and easy. I used two coats plus topcoat. As usual with Tonic Polishes, I’m in LOVE!
