Hi everyone! Last weekend was The Indie Shop in Torrance, CA. This was my first time going to one of these nail polish conventions, but they are popping up all over the country and even in Canada and Australia too! There are a few different conventions happening; The Indie Shop, Polish Con, Indie Expo Canada, and Aussie Indie Con.
The next one in the US that I’m aware of is another from The Indie Shop. This time it will be on July 29, 2017 in the San Francisco Bay area. If you are in the Toronto, Canada area, Indie Expo Canada is June 3-4, 2017 and Australia’s Aussie Indie Con is on June 17, 2017 (I wish I could go to that one!!) I do not know if tickets are still available to either of those international ones, but The Indie Shop’s Bay Area has not gone on sale yet.
So, continue reading to see pictures and my haul from The Indie Shop last weekend.

I purchased the VIP ticket which gets you early access and for an extra price, a VIP bag filled with goodies. Here is what was in my VIP bag. Not pictured is a small glass file from Calm Your Tips and a sticker from Pepper Pot.
Here are all the polishes that were in the VIP bag…

And this was also in the VIP bag. All this was from Nail Drama…

The Indie Shop took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Torrance, CA. The theme of the convention was Candy Shop. There were 12 vendors there and to be honest, I had not tried polishes from any of the vendors but one. I’d heard of them, just hadn’t gotten around to making that first purchase. I was angry with myself because a few of the tables were busy when I went by and I meant to go back and look at them and I totally forgot!
So my first stop was Ever After Polish. I picked out these four to try…

Next was Sea Lore. I won $5 off at Sea Lore in a scratch off ticket, so I got a great deal on these three…

Then I stopped at Fanchromatic Nails and Moon Shine Mani. I only picked up one from Moon Shine Mani and three from Fanchromatic…

Next up was Pepper Pot. I bought two new polishes and a mystery grab bag with two polishes for $5…

Nvr Enuff had a long line to get to their table the whole time I was there. It was worth the wait…

Then onto Envy Lacquer. I bought the Candy Coatings Trio, the show exclusive and a duo they had with Stache Polish (one of the tables I forgot to go back to)…

Lastly I made it to KBShimmer. This was the only brand I had tried before attending the event. She had a show special, 6 polishes plus the cute holo bag for $50. Then I won the little nail file with another scratch off ticket…

Here are a few pictures I took of the table set up. This was at noon, so the VIP’s have already been in here for two hours and early access tickets for one hour…

So that was my day. I had such a great time. I got to meet a friend from the Makeup Alley Nail Care Board, that was so great! I got to spend a couple hours with other nail polish enthusiasts and indie polish makers. And I came home with a lot of new polish from a lot of ‘new to me’ brands to try! What a great day! I can’t wait for the next one!
Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.
