Nails Inc – Dream Dust & Rainbow Wishes // Sparkle Like A Unicorn Nail Polish Duo

Hi everyone! Today I have the Nails Inc Sparkle Like A Unicorn Duo. This came out a couple months ago and sold out very quickly on the Nails Inc US webstore. They have restocked it there a couple times since, but it is out of stock there right now. It looks like you can find this at Sephora.com as of my writing this post.

This is going to be a pretty picture heavy post today.

This Nails Inc duo is described on the Sephora website as, “Give your hooves a holographic makeover with this gleaming duo. Choose from two unicorn looks: dreamy soft sheen rainbow or blinding sparkle with 3D pigment. Wear alone or together for full unicorn magic. Both polishes have been formulated with a lasting system and feature NAILS INC.’s wide brush for flawless application”. The only problem with that is, there is no holographic properties to either of these polishes. The box is holographic, does that count? No, not to me either.

These are super pretty polishes though! I’ll start with the rose gold foily, flecky polish called Dream Dust. This had an excellent formula! I love the wide, rounded brush. Sometimes it looks more gold, sometimes more rose gold. I really liked this one a lot! I used two coats plus just one coat of topcoat. It was so smooth and easy to apply.

Here I have added one coat of the other polish in this duo, Rainbow Wishes to my thumb over the two coats of Dream Dust…

And here is a black swatch stick with one coat of Dream Dust over the black base and my regular finger showing two coats all on it’s own…

And here is Rainbow Wishes. I see this as an icy blue/purple duo chrome. This one does shift pretty well. Putting it over black really makes the blue pop! Another excellent formula and wide brush.

For these photos I used:

  • 3 coats of Rainbow Wishes alone on my index and pinky fingers,
  • 2 coats over black on my middle finger,
  • 2 coats over my 2 coats of Dream Dust on my ring finger.

There really is no difference in layering 2 coats of Rainbow wishes over Dream Dust or wearing 3 coats alone. Using only 1 coat of Rainbow Wishes over 2 coats of Dream Dust (shown above) does let the rose show through a little bit.

Here are my black swatch sticks with 1 coat of Dream Dust and 2 coats of Rainbow Wishes. This will show what they both would look like layered over black.

In this duo you will receive 2 full size (14ml) nail polishes for just $15 plus shipping!

Here are a bunch of photos of the box (showing off the holographic unicorns), both of the brushes, and the bottles (you’ll see that the large rectangular silver lid comes off for ease of painting too)…

Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.
