Hi everyone! Today I have the last 6 polishes from the new OPI Iceland Collection for Fall/Winter 2017! I am loving these deep, saturated cremes and there is a couple of shimmers, one of them was a big surprise when I saw it!
This post is very picture heavy and quite long!
You can see Part 1 of my swatches and review HERE
You can see my Sneak Peek into the collection including bottle shots and swatch wheel photos HERE

Just like last time, so that I don’t need to bore you and repeat myself, know that these all have great OPI formulas. One of the cremes was a little streakier than the others on the first coat, but leveled off beautifully with the second coat. They go on easy, smooth and are so saturated in color, with careful painting many of these could be one coaters! They all dried to a shiny finish. I couldn’t help but get reflections of the background in many of the photos because they are so shiny both with and without topcoat! I will show a quick and dirty photo of each one at just one coat, then the rest of the photos for each color will be two coats. I will make additional notes on the colors as I go, but the formulas are all super stellar!
First up is Reykjavic Has All the Hot Spots. This is a plummy mauve sparkly shimmer. I think there is also a little bit of scattered micro holo glitter. This is a hard one to describe! There are some brushstrokes as you’re painting, but they dry down pretty well. I wasn’t too sure about this one after painting the swatch wheel the other day, but I do like it much more than I thought I would! It does look better in real life than in my photos. I did 2 coats plus topcoat. On my shorter nails this was fine. If you have longer nails and dislike visible nail line, you may need 3 coats.
Here’s a photo of it with just one coat. No cleanup or topcoat. You can see there are no streaks and the coverage is great. This was inside with flash…

Here is the completed swatch, 2 coats with topcoat.

Next up is Less is Norse. This is a gorgeous dark, dusty, slate blue/gray. Apply carefully and this could be a one coater! This is so rich and saturated in color; one of my favorites! I use the scrubby tub for removal and I did not have any staining (with any of these colors) either on the nail or around the cuticles.

Next is That’s What Friends Are Thor. This is a dark brown/melted chocolate color. Another one that could be a one coater with careful application.

Krona-logical Order. This is a dark taupe/gray. You can see this one was kind of streaky on the first coat. The second coat did cover up those streaks beautifully. This was another one that was really deep and saturated in color
Here’s a photo of it with just one coat. No cleanup or topcoat. You can see this is the streakiest of all the cremes from this collection with that first coat. This was inside with flash…

Here is the completed swatch, 2 coats with topcoat. All the streaks were covered with the second coat.

Last of the cremes is Suzi & The Arctic Fox. This is a very dark gray. In my dark office this looks like a soft black BUT go outside in the sun and you’ll get a big blurple surprise! I wasn’t expecting that blue/purple tint you will see outside! This has another excellent formula. Nice and easy to apply. Apply that first coat carefully and this could be another one coater!

Lastly is the surprise shimmer I was not expecting from OPI! Turn On the Northern Lights. This is a dark blue with a red/copper/gold shifting shimmer. I do not see a green shift, so I don’t think this is the hard to find “Unicorn Pee” pigment, but maybe it’s a close relative? I thought this was a jelly base the other day when I was painting the swatch wheel, but it seems too opaque to be a jelly, maybe a crelly. The shimmer shows really well. This was such a surprise from OPI and is my favorite from the whole collection!

So there is the whole 2017 Fall Winter Iceland Collection from OPI. What do you all think? If you want to see any comparisons (from any of the polishes in this collection), post in the comments and if I have it, I will swatch it!
It was asked in the comments for a couple comparisons.
Here is 2 coats of OPI One Heckla of a Color VS Parlez vous OPI. You can see Parlez vous is a tad darker with a touch more gray in it. Photo with flash…

Here is 2 coats of OPI Turn on the Northern Lights VS Russian Navy. Northern Lights is lighter, less opaque and has a noticeable shimmer that shifts to gold (or copper?). Russian Navy is darker and more opaque. The shimmer in that one is not as noticeable once it’s dried on the nail. Photos with flash…

Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.

Hello! Do you know which polish looks more like “Squeaker of the House” from Opis last fall collection? I feel like there is a dupe for it in this collection but can’t put my finger on it yet.

Hi Oksana! I don’t have Squeaker, but looking online it looks like a “melted milk chocolate” type color. I described That’s What Friends Are Thor the same way, so that would probably be closest but I am unsure of just how close they really are.
Thanks for stopping by!!

If you have Shh It’s Top Secret, You Don’t Know Jacques, and Berlin There Done That I would be interested in how those compare with the browns/taupes from this collection. Great post and pictures! Your time and effort are appreciated Chickie!

Thank you so much for the amazingly detailed review!! You’ve totally talked me into Northern Lights – I’m a sucker for anything that looks vaguely UP-ish, and hey, it’ll make great undies for a UP topper if it’s not. I swear I catch a hint of green at the edges of your bottle shots!

Hi Michelle! I’m so glad you enjoyed the post! Northern Lights is gorgeous and it will make a great base for an UP topper! I will need to try that one day, what a great suggestion!
Hope you love Northern Lights if you get it!!

It looks gorgeous. I like subtle shimmers a lot (beloved Bastille my heart 😉 However in this one I’d like that pink/orange to be more visible. I’d love a dusty gray-blue/gray brown nail polish with more visible vivid orange/ pink shimmer 😉

Hi aggie! Thanks for the comment! Did you see Sin-derella from the latest China Glaze collection? It’s a taupey/gray with a strong pink shimmer. I loved it! Here’s a link to my post about it if you want to check it out!

Just had my nails done and chose Less Is Norse. I’m generally a French manicure girl and I am absolutely loving the change. I haven’t had blue nails since middle school!😂

Hi! Thanks for the pictures and the description. The collection looks lovely. Fall collections always turn out to be more successful, don’t they? Do you have Parlez vous OPI? I wonder if it is similar to One Heckla of a Color. And another comparison is Turn on the Northern Lights and Russian Navy. They look so close. Thanks in advance.
