Hi everyone! Today’s manicure comes from Blackheart Beauty. I’ve been seeing these skull nail polish bottles posted around some of the Facebook groups and I had to check them out for myself! You can find this brand at Hot Topic stores (and online I think). When I went in the store last week they were buy one get one free, so that came to just $2.50 each. I was hoping to find some of the “Galaxy” ones (they are holographic) but my store only had one of those, so I picked up five others, mostly these “Iridescent” ones. They are so pretty! I am not affiliated with Hot Topic or Blackheart Beauty.
Today I have on Blue Iridescent. This is a bright, Caribbean water blue with a purple shimmer that flashes at certain angles in certain light. It is not an overpowering flash, but you will see and notice the shift. There is also a brighter blue micro glitter that really stands out and sparkles. Some of my photos look kind of bumpy, but this dries very smooth and only needs one coat of topcoat.
I did three coats. Two coats looked good on my shorties, but if you have longer nails two coats would have visible nail line. The formula was really good. I did add just a couple drops of nail polish thinner. I was not a big fan of the brush. It is a good size, but mine was kind of wonky in shape and it’s “mop like” if you know what I mean. It is manageable, just not my personal favorite brush.
I’m really loving the finished mani though! It’s nice and bright!
