Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is another beauty from Blackheart Beauty. You can find these at Hot Topic stores. They are really reasonably priced at just $5 and when I was there they were buy 1 get 1 free! I bought six of them the other day and am really happy with them so far! I am not affiliated with Blackheart Beauty or Hot Topic.
This one reminds me of something but I cannot place it in my mind. If you have any idea of what this is similar too, let me know in the comments! **Edit to add: I think I was thinking of Cult Nails Masquerade. It looks very close to that! Thanks to ariix of Vegan Claws for mentioning it on MUA!!**
This is another picture heavy post!
Oil Slick Iridescent is a murky, dark, olive green jelly base with a strong purple to green to gold shifting shimmer. Mostly indoors you see the purple shift, but in the right light you can get the green and gold to come out too! Being a jelly base, this is sheer but buildable. I used three coats plus topcoat and don’t notice any visible nail line, but if you have long nails, I could see where it would possibly show up. The formula is really easy to work with. It stays right where you paint it, there is no running or pooling in the cuticles. The brush on this one was much better than the brush the other day in my Blue Iridescent mani. That one was wonky and mop like but this one was very nice and easy to use.
I think this looks like something a high end indie polish would put out and it was only $2.50! I’m really loving it!

Here’s a photo of it with just one coat. No cleanup or topcoat. You can see there are no streaks, it’s just sheer but the coverage is good. This was inside with flash…
