Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is another beauty from the brand new indie nail polish brand Geekish Glitter Lacquer. She just opened shop on October 13th. I shared the first polish (a very LE polish!) I wore from this brand yesterday. So here’s a polish from their inaugural launch collection called Batman’s Robins. This and many more are available in her webstore HERE.

It’s My Right To Replace Him is described on the website as, “a black jelly polish packed with fire red holo, evergreen holo and matte banana yellow glitters”. I agree with that.
While inside, it doesn’t just look like a black polish, you can tell there is something going on with it. The yellow glitter are bigger than the red and green micro glitter, so it stands out a bit while inside. But when you get in very bright light or especially in the sun, that is when the magic happens! The red and green micro glitter twinkle and sparkle like crazy and the yellow glitter seems to glow gold. This will be a nice polish to wear during the holidays!
This has a great formula. It also has a great brush so application is easy. I wasn’t sure while I was painting if I was getting any of the yellow glitter out (I basically paint my nails in the dark), but once I got into some light, I saw a lot had come out easily and distributed evenly over the nail.
This does dry very textured! I have a hint to tame overly textured polishes to make them smooth without using a ton of topcoat. I used two coats of color then a coat of a matte topcoat to take down the texture (I used OPI’s matte topcoat today, it really works great!). Once that is dry for a while I use one coat of my glossy quick dry topcoat to shine it up. It was perfectly smooth using that combination. (My QDTC is a little thicker so if you have a thinner QDTC, you may need two coats to completely smooth it) I’ve done that many times in the past when I want a smooth surface, it really works!
Geekish Glitter Lacquer It’s My Right To Replace Him, 2 coats plus 1 coat matte topcoat and 1 coat glossy topcoat.
