Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is a gorgeous magnetic, multi chrome polish from Tonic Polish. Unfortunately, this was an exclusive limited edition for the Multichrome Madness Facebook group for last month, December 2017, so it is no longer available. Tonic Polish will be having another magnetic polish available again in the shop hopefully sometime soon.
You can find the Tonic web store HERE. You can find the Multichrome Madness Facebook group HERE. If you are a fan of all things multi chrome, it is the group to join! I am not affiliated with Tonic Polish or Multichrome Madness. I do have A LOT of photos today!!

Zeppo was described by the maker as, “a deep purpley fuchsia-gold-green magnetic multichrome in a dark base with glowy blue iridescent flakes”. That fits my description very closely! I wrote down that this was a purple to magenta shifting polish with a gold and green shift that I mainly saw once I got outside. It also has color shifting flakies from bright blue to purple to magenta. Just beautiful! It has an excellent formula and wears like iron! I used two coats plus topcoat. I put this on on Dec 29 and took my photos on Dec. 30 and am writing this post (still wearing this polish) very late on Jan 1 and it still looks brand new. Just the tiniest bit of tip wear! I love this one!!
If you haven’t tried a magnetic polish before, it is very easy (and fun!) to use. You will put on your basecoat and first coat of color as usual. Let that coat dry for a few minutes than you will want to work just one finger at a time. Add a second coat of magnetic polish to one finger and while it is still very wet, hold a strong magnet over the top trying not to touch it to your wet polish. Hold it there for quite a few seconds and lift it away. You should see the design it made. Go on to your next finger and repeat those steps for each finger. You can find magnets on Ebay or Amazon, there are quite a few different designs available. Tonic polish has one they are selling also. I still have a few of them from a couple years ago when magnetic polishes were popular from other brands. For my manicure today I used an old wave pattern magnet from a Deborah Lippmann set from a few years ago.
