Hi everyone! Today I have the first 6 of 12 polishes from the new/upcoming OPI Lisbon Collection. This is the Spring 2018 OPI Collection.
See the Sally Beauty and Ulta Store Exclusives post HERE!
You can see my bottle shots post HERE!
You can see my swatches of Part 2 HERE!
I split the collection up into two posts because I love to share a lot of photos. I will get Part 2 up just as soon as I can!

It never rains in Southern California until you want to take photos of the new OPI collection! It has been pouring for the last two days while I’ve been swatching so I don’t have any sun shots for these first six polishes (except for one when the sun happened to peek out for a minute). I found a lot of the creme polishes to be kind of runny if you overloaded the brush, so watch out for that. Otherwise, these 6 all had good, even application. I am going in alphabetical order so let’s get started!
- OPI ‘A Red-vival City’. This is a little more of a crelly finish than straight creme. It is an orangy, or tomato, red. Nice and bright! It applies really smooth. There are no streaks and it will dry shiny. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- OPI ‘Closer Than You Might Belém’. This is a dusty aqua creme. It applies nice and smooth, but a bit runny. There are no streaks and it will dry shiny. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- OPI ‘Lisbon Wants More OPI’. I saw this as a pink tinged taupe creme. Not at all streaky, but this was running into my cuticles. It will dry shiny. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- OPI ‘Made It To The Seventh Hill!’. This is the first of two shimmers in this whole collection. This is a lighter, bronze metallic shimmer. There are brushstrokes and it will show any imperfections in your nails but it is a really pretty color! I used 3 coats (plus glossy topcoat) for this one with a matte topcoat after the first coat to try to smooth out my nails.

- OPI ‘No Turning Back From Pink Street’. This is a bright pink creme. Applies smooth but watch to not overload the brush or you’ll get running into the cuticles. Dries shiny. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- OPI ‘Now Museum, Now You Don’t’. This is my favorite of these six because it is the most unusual color. I’m not even sure how to describe it. I wrote down rusty, reddish, coppery shimmer. Brushstrokes will disappear with topcoat. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

Comparison request: Amy asked in the comments if I could compare Closer Than You Might Belem with OPI Sailing and Nailing or I Believe In Manicures. I don’t have either of those, but I looked online and Essie Mint Candy Apple was supposed to be a dupe of those two colors. So I pulled out my Essie Mint Candy Apple to see mine is a light blue rather than green. So there are two versions of MCA and I must have the non dupe one. I still went ahead with the comparison and I added in China Glaze For Audrey which is pretty close to Belem.
The photos are 2 coats of each polish taken in the lightbox.

Another Comparison request: Diane asked if I could compare Closer Than You Might Belem with OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook but I don’t have that one. I went digging in my OPI drawer but I really don’t have any OPI’s similar to this dusty aqua. The closest thing I had was Mermaid’s Tears so I snapped a couple photos of those two…

Hope that helps a little bit!
There are the first 6 OPI Spring 2018 Lisbon polishes. What do you think? If you want me to compare these to anything, leave a comment and if I have it, I can compare them for you! I will work on part 2 and get it up in the next few days so stay tuned!
Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.

Can you compare Closer Than You Might Belem with Sailing and Nailing and I Believe in Manicures. They all look pretty similar to me.

Hi Amy! I don’t have either of those OPI’s. I’m so sorry I can’t compare them for you. Looking online, it looks like Essie ‘Mint Candy Apple’ is close to both ‘Sailing and Nailing’ and ‘I Believe in Manicures’ and I do have the Essie. I can get a comparison up of the Essie and Belem in the next couple days. I will post it at the end of this post so check back tomorrow or the next day. Hope that will help you!

Thanks Paula, I was searching for the Opi now museum to have a good look. Great pics Thank-you. I shall hop over to instagram & check your stuff. I’ve been searching for my perfect red /shimmer / red& gold for ages, I’m liking Now Museum, it’s a lovely colour. Thx

Hi Viv! Now Museum is a great, unusual color! A couple of my other (non OPI) favorite deep red shimmers are Zoya Isla or Blair and Deborah Lippmann Through The Fire. Also, OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress is a classic red shimmer too.
Thanks for checking out my blog and Instagram (and following both!) I really appreciate it!! ♥

Love your pics of this collection! Could you do a comparison of Belem with Czeckbook, or some other pale aqua blues?
