Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is from another brand new indie brand, 1850 Artisan Polish. I bought almost all of the polishes from her Debut Collection and the couple I didn’t get, I’m going to go back for!
Nikki is the maker of 1850 Artisan Polish and I asked her on Instagram how she came up with the name for her polish brand. I am paraphrasing, but she replied that she is a California girl and loves her home and that 1850 was the year that California became a state. She also mentioned that most of her polish colors are inspired by her surroundings and the people around her. I just thought you all may be interested in that little tidbit of information about this new brand.
You can find this polish and all her other offerings on her website HERE. I am not affiliated. I have a lot of photos today!
Hummingbird is described on the website as, “A mesmerizing, shifting, shimmering polish that moves from turquoise to purple with red and gold on the edges. Reminiscent of the tiny beauties that zoom through gardens”. I wrote in my notes that it shifts from a turquoise to a bright aqua to purple. The shift is easy and strong! The formula was good but I added just a couple drops of nail polish thinner and that made it perfect for me. It was very smooth and easy to apply. The brush is a good size. I like the bottle; it’s unique from other indie polishes. As I said, I bought 8 of the polishes from her Debut Collection and want to go back for at least 2 of the remaining ones. They all look so pretty and I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!!

**A quick note about the bottom label on my bottle: As I was adding my couple drops of thinner, I missed the bottle and it pooled underneath it. I wasn’t really thinking and picked up the bottle and wiped it on my cloth I use while painting my nails. When I looked at it I saw I totally smeared the name of the polish (as you can see below). So that was all my fault!
I messaged Nikki right away to see if she could hold a name label for me until my next order and she replied back within minutes that she would put one in the mail to me. And she did that day. I already have the new label in the mail today (I took my photos yesterday) and she sent two labels just in case (I feel like she already knows me so well, lol!). I love great customer service like that!**

I love hummingbirds. I have a feeder and every now and then I can catch one at it…
Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.
