Hi everyone! Today I have a couple polishes to share with you from 786 Cosmetics. This brand has been around for a while but this is my first time trying them. They are proud to have discovered a formula for their nail polish that is water permeable, meaning water can penetrate through their nail polish. Their formula took years of research and development. These polishes were sent to me for an honest review. You can find their website at 786Cosmetics.com.

I was sent two color polishes and a matte topcoat to review for you. The polishes were packed very well and got here in just a couple days. Here is what the packaging looks like. I love the individual boxes…

Here is the back of the box. This mentions that all their products are water and oxygen permeable. They are halal, free of alcohol, animal products, animal testing and are certified wudu friendly…

Let me share with you what 786 Cosmetics shared with me:
As I said above, they are proud to have discovered a formula for their nail polish that is water permeable, meaning water can penetrate through their nail polish. This allows users to be able to perform Wudu and pray without having to remove it. 786 nail polishes use a non-peelable formula that lasts anywhere from 7 to 10 days with just one application.
Their industry leading and revolutionary nail polish formula does not contain harsh chemicals, is not tested on animals, and is vegan! 786 Cosmetics nail polishes are manufactured and produced in the United States and are certified halal.
Their nail polish colors are named after beautiful cities around the world in which the color was inspired. 786 Cosmetics has just added three new colors: Dubai, a shimmery gold, Istanbul, a deep maroon, and a Matte Top Coat!
For more information, check out their website at www.786cosmetics.com
I will start with Petra which is inspired by the historic 2,000 year old “Rose City” that contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs in the land of Jordan.
Petra is a light pale pink. I am loving these barely tinged pink polishes lately and this one is beautiful! A light colored polish such as this can be prone to streaks in the first couple of coats. It’s nothing against the polish or the brand, it’s just usually the way they are. I’m glad 786 sent me their new Matte Topcoat to test also because I have a great tip for any streaky polishes you come across. I applied two thin coats of color then one coat of the matte topcoat. I let that dry completely. It really helps smooth everything out beautifully and gives you a nice base for the third coat of color. That gave me a perfect, streak free finish!
These polishes dry very shiny on their own but I added a glossy topcoat. 786 does offer a glossy topcoat that is also water and oxygen permeable so if you’re buying any of the colors, make sure to grab that too! This pretty pale pink made my nails look so clean and professional! I wore the polish for over 12 hours and didn’t have any chips, lifting or peeling.
The polish has a really nice brush. It is not too thin or wide. It splays open to make painting easy…

Next up is Istanbul which is inspired by the vibrant reds of the city. The beautiful red walls of the Hagia Sofia, the low red lighting of the basilica cistern, and of course the reds of spices and souvenirs in the spice market and grand bazaar.
Istanbul is a dark oxblood red/maroon crelly. This had an excellent formula! It went on smooth and easy! I used two coats without topcoat, it really dries so shiny!

One more thing I want to mention about 786 Cosmetics is they offer free shipping within the US with any purchase over $35 and all other countries get free shipping with a $55 USD purchase. That’s a great additional benefit!
Their polishes retail for $12.95 USD and the topcoat is $9.99. The matte topcoat must be sold out today so I am not sure of the retail price for that one. (Of course, all prices and offers are subject to change, this is the offer and retail prices as of my writing this post)
Go check them out at 786Cosmetics.com and let me know in the comments what you think!
Well, there we have it!

“breathable” is often confused with water permeable. You should check out Tuesday in Love’s video to see the difference and decide for yourself as to what is and isn’t really Halal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFhMtbQuPho

Hi Hanna! I know you are right about not all breathable nail polish is Halal, but according to this brands website (https://www.786cosmetics.com/how-it-works/) this particular formula has been tested for years and “786 has also been tested & verified as 100% Halal & Wudu Friendly by Kalamazoo Islamic Center (KIC)”.

Hi Kaw. If you go to their website under FAQ (https://786cosmetics.com/pages/faq) or How It Works (https://786cosmetics.com/pages/how-it-works) you may find your answer. If you need further clarification you will need to contact them directly (https://786cosmetics.com/pages/contact-us) as I am not affiliated with this company and do not know any more than the website states.
