Hi everyone! Today I have the last 3 polishes from the new/upcoming OPI Grease Collection. This collection corresponds to the 40th Anniversary of Grease the movie!
All 3 of these polishes dry to a “Leather Like Effect” finish. Don’t let that scare you though! Wait until you see what these look like at just 1 coat!!

These three polishes dry down to a leather like effect and are meant to be worn without topcoat to get the full effect. These do dry down to a bit of a texture, but not nearly as bumpy as a liquid sand polish would be. If you absolutely cannot stand any sort of texture, these might not be for you; unless you need a nice black, white or pink polish that looks great at just one coat! A thick coat of topcoat will make these perfectly smooth if you really cannot deal with the slight texture.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from these when I bought them, but I really love them! I am a fan of textured polish anyway, and these are textured just enough. I think if they were more textured I would not be a fan.
This trio consists of:
- OPI ‘Electryfyin’ Pink‘, a bubblegun pink.
- OPI ‘Grease Is the Word‘, a basic deep black.
- OPI ‘Rydell Forever‘, a bright white.
I mentioned above how great they all look at just one coat, so here are a couple pictures of each polish with just 1 coat…
And here is the finished mani:
My middle finger has 1 coat of the white (Rydell Forever) as the base, then one swipe each of Electryfyin’ Pink and Grease Is the Word (Black) followed with just 1 thick coat of topcoat. I am writing this post 24 hours after applying the topcoat and it is still perfectly smooth as glass. It did not sink in as topcoats sometimes will with other textured polishes.
All other fingers are 2 coats of each color individually without topcoat.

So what do you think of this Leather Like Effect mini collection? I really love them all, but the black is probably my favorite! All I need now is a poodle skirt and I’ll be all ready for the sock hop!! 🙂
