Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is going into my top polishes of 2018 folder! I am loving these new Multichrome Magnetic polishes that Tonic Polish just put out. I got them all and Flawless is the first one I am trying. I took almost 200 (!) photos of this manicure because each time you turn your hand you see something new. I was trying so hard to cut photos but I still have A LOT of them today! You can find Tonic Polish HERE or at TonicPolish.com. I am not affiliated, just a big fan!

Tonic Polish Flawless is described on the website as, “an orange-gold-green shifting Unicorn Pee sister pigment with pink-peach-yellow shifting multichrome magnetic pigment. Sort of a mishmash color when applied, but after applying your magnet over the wet polish you’ll see the pink magnetic particles pull away from the orange Unicorn Pee base particles. Best used as one coat magnetized over a base color, such as Tonic Detox or Happy Beginning!”.
I don’t even know how to describe it. Sometimes the base color is an olive green and sometimes more brown or bright green. Then you have the magnetic line that is rose gold or green or copper or gold. It looks like Tigers eye sometimes and sometimes it reminds me of the Northern Lights. Oh yeah, and there is a sister pigment to Unicorn Pee in there too. I LOVE it!!
The formula was beyond excellent, it really was flawless! I used 1 coat of Flawless over 1 coat of Tonic’s new black polish, Detox. Here’s what Detox looks like on it’s own. This is just 1 coat!

I applied detox to all my fingers and let that dry. Then working one finger at a time, I painted 1 thick coat of Flawless on and using the magnet that came from Tonic (I used the skinny side, not the wider flat side) I held that as close as I could to my finger without bumping it. I held it at a diagonal angle and counted to about 15. I then went on to the next finger and repeated those steps. When I was done with all my fingers I added 1 coat of a quick dry topcoat. I’ve heard after applying the topcoat you can hold the magnet over your line again since the topcoat kind of re-wets the particles but I didn’t try that.
Lindsay has made some sort of magic in a bottle with these multichrome magnetics! Get comfortable, there are a lot of photos!

Here’s the Tonic magnet I used. I grabbed my rose squishy that I got from Polish Pickup a couple months ago to use as a prop and noticed how perfectly it matched Flawless so I had to take a couple pictures with that. Inside with and without flash…

And here are a ton more photos.

Whew! If you made it this far you deserve a cold drink and a snack!
I also wanted to show a sneak peek of my new nail polish project. I only just got started and I will put up a tutorial of how I’m doing this soon. I’m adding glass cabochons to the tops of my polish bottles. These are my newest Tonics with their new cabochons. I love how this looks when you open the drawer. You can see the colors at a glance…

Again, I will get a tutorial done for those this week sometime!
Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
