Hi everyone! Today’s manicure is a special one from Ethereal Lacquer. A couple weeks ago Ethereal Lacquer put some prototypes up for sale. I was just frantically adding them all to my cart and checked out. After the fact, I realized that two of them were One of a Kind prototypes and I was so fortunate to have gotten both of them! My ninja fingers were working well that day! This polish today is one of those One of a Kinds!
You can find Ethereal Lacquer HERE. She just had a pre-order so everything is showing as sold out right now, but there will be more to come! Follow her on Instagram or join her Facebook fan group to get all the upcoming info on what’s coming! I am not affiliated.

Shattered Seas was described as “Royal blue jelly with flakies that shift from magenta, gold to green”. I wrote in my notes the polish was a deep royal or navy jelly base with shiny color shifting flakies. This had an excellent formula! It applied very easily and smoothly. I used three coats plus topcoat but next time I will layer one or two coats over a coordinating base color. I think with so many coats you lose the flakies into the base color if that makes sense. It’s still so pretty and I love it this way but want to try to that way also. There is visible nail line but that is expected with a jelly base. I do not mind that at all.
Photos were difficult today! The polish looks mostly like the indoor flash photos, it’s a nice, dark blue base. However, the flakies like to show themselves the best outside in natural light which lightens up the base color a lot. So imagine the polish with the dark blue base from the first few photos and the beautiful, colorful flakies from the last batch of photos! Meld that together in your mind and you will have a great image of what this polish looks like in real life!! 🙂
