Hi everyone! Today I have the latest additions to the Zodiac Series from Geekish Glitter Lacquer! This series has a dedicated polish for each Zodiac sign and a different glow in the dark (GITD) topper for each of the four corresponding Elements. I was excited for these because this is my Zodiac sign, Virgo.
The polishes are only available during the month of the Zodiac it’s attached to. So these two will only be available from August 23 through September 22. However, you will see the GITD topper during all the months that are Earth elements.

The Virgin is inspired by the Zodiac sign Virgo. If your birthday falls between August 23 and September 22 you are a Virgo. Virgos are ruled by the Earth element. Their strengths include being organized, detail oriented, humble, responsible, hard working, honest and loyal. Their weaknesses include being obsessive, critical, shy, worried and a perfectionist.
Lexi came up with two polishes for the month of Virgo, The Virgin and Earth. I have both of these to show you today. These two will only be available for sale for the month of the Zodiac sign. So for Virgo you can purchase these polishes from August 23 (starting at 12pm Mountain Time) through September 22 at geekishglitterlacquer.bigcartel.com
The Virgin is described as, “a light pink base with a gold shimmer and lilac holo microglitter”. The gold shimmer gives the polish a subdued feel, almost turning it to a rose gold type color. It’s very neutral and would be perfect in a conservative work setting. But then the lilac holo microglitter will go crazy twinkling in brighter light. I love that type of scattered holo glitter, it adds so much sparkle!
This had an excellent formula. The first coat is smooth and easy to apply. There are no streaks and it gives great coverage. It also doesn’t run or pool, it stays right where you paint it. The second coat was the same, smooth and easy! This also dries very smooth, so only one coat of topcoat should be needed. I love the shimmer, it really stands out! I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of topcoat for my photos.

Earth is a green glow in the dark topper. Boy this glows like crazy! I was taking my photos late at night and then I went to bed and my nails lightly glowed for at least an hour after I laid down. I could not fall asleep, I kept checking them to see if they were still glowing!
This looks cloudy in the bottle, but it didn’t seem to affect the base color. I used it over The Virgin. I always shake GITD toppers really well to make sure all that pigment is mixed up and I applied two coats plus a glossy topcoat. It’s hard for me to get good photos, but just know this glows like mad!
