#Press Sample
Hi everyone! I was so excited and honored that I was chosen as a guest swatcher for the upcoming Polish ‘M Route 66 Collection! I would love to travel down old Route 66 and take in all the history along the way! Maybe one day I’ll get to do that but for now, I can show you this 6 piece collection that Michelle from Polish ‘M has come up with to give homage to that famous highway that spans more than half of our great country!
Important: This is a 1 time release – there will be NO re-stocks!! So don’t wait or you may miss out!
These were sent to me to swatch and give an honest review. This will be a long and picture heavy post!

Polish ‘M Route 66 Collection
- Catoosa Blue – This is described as, “A muted blue-grey with pastel micro glitter and a purple shimmer”. I saw it as a medium gray with a strong purple shimmer flecks and glitter in a couple colors and sizes. This had an excellent formula. It stayed right where you paint it, there was no running or pooling into the cuticles. It applied smooth and even with no streaking. I did not fish or maneuver the glitter, I did let the bottle sit upside down for a few minutes then lightly shook it. But what you see is just dipping in the bottle and brushing it on. I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of topcoat. There was a little visible nail line if I really looked for it, it wasn’t jumping out at me at all.

- Don’t Forget Wine-ona – This is described as, “A berry wine crème base with matte neon blue glitter, matte baby blue glitter and purple and blue iridescent glitter”. I saw this as a merlot purple (or raisin) base with glitter in a few sizes, shapes and colors. There are bright blue and lighter blue matte glitter and sparkly blue and purple glitter. My bottle was a little thick so I added about 4 drops of nail polish thinner and it was perfect. Don’t overwork the polish as you apply it. It does go on smooth and even. The glitter comes out and distributes very easily. I did not fish or maneuver at all. What you see is exactly how it came out and brushed on the nail. I did 2 thin coats, letting it dry between coats and before I added a 3rd thicker coat and 2 coats of topcoat to make it perfectly smooth.

- Golden Park Time of Day – This is described as, “A gold to pink shifting shimmer base with silver holo galaxy glitter and matte neon pink, black and white glitter. Can be used alone in 2-3 coats or as a topper with 1 coat over any color”. I saw this as pink, silver and gold shimmer flecks with white, pink and black glitter and holo glitter. The formula was excellent. This was much more opaque on it’s own then I thought it would be. The glitter all comes out easily and what you see is pretty much just brushed on. I did grab some of the black glitter that would be on the inside of the bottle neck after I wiped off some of the excess and placed those up towards my free edge. This was one of my favorites! It looks great on its own and layered too! This is 3 coats on it’s own with 1 coat of topcoat.

Here it is as 1 coat over 2 coats of Catoosa Blue (I love this combo!)…

Then I took all these Sally Hansen Crayola creme colors on a swatch wheel and added 1 coat over top. On the swatch wheel I have Catoosa Blue, a Black Creme, then the Sally Hansens go in order with the photo. I really loved it over all these colors! A couple of favorites were white, pale yellow and light lilac (nails 3,4,6 on the wheel). It really doesn’t look bad over any of them though!

- Heart & Soulsby – This is described as, “A light periwinkle with navy to purple shifting UCC mega flakes, aqua sparks, red metallic micro flakes and a silver holo dust”. I saw this as a gray lilac base with blue shimmer and flakes. I also catch a pink (or red) twinkle every now and then. It had an excellent formula. It applies smooth and even. The flakes lay flat so I think only one coat of topcoat should be needed. I used 2 coats of color with 1 coat of topcoat.

- Look Through the Hubble – This is described as, “A unique grey with a hint of blue undertone with red to green shifting aurora shimmer, purple to blue shifting UCC mega flakes, shifting iridescent flakes and a mix of metallic glitter”. I saw this one as a metallic type gray holo with colorful flakies and holo glitter. Another excellent formula. It applies easily and evenly. It did not run or pool into my cuticles. I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of topcoat.

- Moonshine At the Red Cedar – This is described as, “A red-brown with pink shimmer, magic holo flakes, rainbow iridescent flakes, purple iridescent shreds and red to orange shifting UCC mega flakes”. I saw this one as a brown base with tons of pink shimmer, holo glitter and colorful flakies. This was a little on the thick side with all the flakes in there, but it was manageable without adding any thinner. Don’t overload the brush with polish, don’t overwork the polish and let your coats dry before adding a second coat. Even with all the finicky-ness of this one, it was my favorite of the collection! I used 2 coats with just 1 coat of topcoat.
