Hey everyone! I’m back with my journey through my stash with another skittle mani from 1850 Artisan Polish.
For this mani I used:
- Index – Regenerate — (3 coats, only to fix a smudge. 2 coats would be good) I see this as a medium blue with purple flakes. This must be a thermal, my tips are darker blue than my nail bed. The official description, “duochrome flakie thermal transitions from white with purple/fuschia shifting flakies when warm to a blue to purple shifting duochrome with coordinating flakies when cold”. Ah, it IS a thermal (the label doesn’t say that). So I bought this in August 2018 and it still transitions but mine is definitely not white, it’s a cornflower blue (warm) to a medium navy (cold).

- Middle – Oh, Brilliant — (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a purple to gold base with a special sparkly holo micro glitter. The official description, “a shimmering multichrome that shifts primarily between purple, pink, and gold with green at extreme angles. It is packed with a stunning collection of aurora shimmers and a tiny touch of micro holo shimmer that enhances its sparkling shifts”.

- Ring – Convergence — (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a minty green (warm) to deeper green (cold) thermal with blue to green to purple flakes. Again, I bought this in Nov 2018 and it still transitions! The official description was, “a multichrome flakie thermal that transitions from a green to purple and blue multichrome when cold to a frosty white with green shimmer and green to purple and blue shifting flakies when warm. This is the sister polish to Regenerate from The 13th Doctor Collection”. I don’t get the white transition, it stops at a minty green but I still like it a lot!

- Pinky – Mermaid Music — (2 coats plus topcoat) I see a purple to blue to gold base with tons of holo glitter. The official description, “a mesmerizing teal, violet, blue, red, and gold multichrome loaded with intense scattered holographic shimmer”.

These all had great formulas. I’m happy to see the thermals are still transitioning! Even though I didn’t get the white transition, I like the lighter colors they change to. The brush is on the narrow side but I didn’t have any trouble applying these.
