Hi everyone! I’m continuing with my journey through my stash. I’m up to A England. I wanted this to be an all red skittle, but I only have three reds so I had to make do with what I had.
For this mani I used:
- Index – Rosebower – (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a ruby red with subtle holo.
- Middle – Perceval -(2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a darkened red wine shimmer. Glowy and lit from within.
- Ring – Briarwood – (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a chocolate brown with a strong red holo shimmer.
- Pinky – Fated Prince – (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a charcoal taupe holo. As I was looking at it in my living room I saw hints of green too.
These all had excellent formulas! The first three could almost be one coaters. The brushes were different in them. There were two skinny brushes and two that were a bit wider. They were all straight. I didn’t care for the skinny ones but the other two were ok to use.
So I own 24 A England nail polishes. I’ve only worn 7 of them (not including these 4). All of mine were bought back in 2013-2015. I haven’t bought one since 2015. There is not a real reason for that. I like the formulas and the colors. They are located in England and so a little harder to come by here in the US. I also don’t follow them on social media so I just don’t really hear about them or their new collections.
Of these four, Briarwood is my favorite. It reminds me a little of the new black to red multichromes that everyone is releasing now but with brown and it’s not a multichrome. lol. I guess it’s not that close, but I love how it looks brown at some angles and red at others. The most dupeable is Perceval. It reminds me of polishes like Zoya Isla, Deb Lippman Through the Fire among others.
Here is the finished mani. I really wish I would have had one more red one! I thought Fated Prince was going to be a little more taupe and less charcoal. Oh well!

These are all gorgeous. a-England is the only brand I own all polishes bar one…Sparks Divine version 2. I got the duff version 1 though! I really need to wear more of them and blog them haha!
