Hey everyone! We’re going way back to 2012 with this brand! I think they opened and closed all in that year. Do any of you own this brand?
This was one of the first indie brands I bought way back in 2012. I only own these two. When I received them in the mail, Envious already had all the glitter sunk to the bottom. I contacted them and was sent a replacement but it came the exact same way. So I wasn’t thrilled with the execution of the polish formula so I never bought another one.
- Alta Costura Envious is a spring green jelly with white, yellow and blue glitter in a couple of sizes. I put this on yesterday and woke up with a chip on my index finger.
The glitter sinks but it does mix back up with a good shake so it is useable. I love the idea of this polish but I haven’t reached for it in 7+ years, it’s time to go to the purge box.
I used 3 coats plus topcoat (I only used 1 coat of topcoat but it really needs 2 to be perfectly smooth) for the swatch today.
- Alta Costura Sweet Tooth is a clear base with pink, blue, white and red glitter in a couple of sizes. This one also has the sinky glitter but it does shake up so it is useable.
I used 2 coats alone on my ring and 1 coat over a pale yellow (OPI Meet A Boy Cute As Can Be) on my pinky. Again, I used just 1 coat of topcoat but it needs 2 to be perfectly smooth. I like this one alot but I will probably never reach for it again so off to purgatory it goes!
