Hi everyone! I’m taking a break from my journey through my stash to bring you this excellent new collection from Duri Cosmetics. I was sent this collection to swatch and give my honest review. You can find this collection and all the other lovely Duri products at Duri.com.

The Below Zero Collection is a brand new six piece collection from Duri Cosmetics. I will be showing you two polishes at a time. Without even realizing it, Duri actually has a special price for each of these duo sets or you can purchase each color individually.
Check out this collection with special duo pricing HERE.
Before I get started on the collection, I have to sing the praises of one of Duri’s topcoats, Miracote Topcoat. This is my HG topcoat and I will never be without it. I’ve been using this topcoat since 2012 when I happened upon a bottle in Winners in Canada (similar to TJMaxx in the US). When I can find the big 4oz refill bottles online I stock up but it has been a couple years since I’ve seen that size for sale to non professionals. I keep refilling a smaller bottle and in all that time I have never once added a drop of thinner. Last night I thought I’d get a head start on my first two colors of this collection and I put them on, topped with Miracote and about 20 minutes later went to bed and not a single sheet mark or dent to be found this morning. It dries fast, it dries hard and it dries shiny. All without shrinking or needing thinner. Did I mention I love it??
Anyway, onto the reason we are all here, the Below Zero Collection.
There are 6 creme to crelly polishes in this collection. Duri says, “Inspired by icy weather and budding romance. Four cool, milky tones plus two sheer neutrals are here to spark your winter nail looks“.
First up I have Bunny Slope and Cuddle Buddy. You can buy these as a “Sheer and Clear” 2 piece set for $13.99 or $8 individually at Duri.com.
- Bunny Slope (index and middle nails) is a soft ivory creme. This is perfect as a base to any kind of nail art or for those days when you want a white nail but not a WHITE nail, if you know what I mean. This is a subdued, soft, clean look for your nails.
I didn’t have many streaks on the first coat but with all of these polishes you’re best off laying down the first coat without excessively going over the nail with the brush. Then kind of float on the second coat after the first coat had time to dry. That’s what I did for all of these and any streaks leveled out nicely. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- Cuddle Buddy (ring and pinky nails) is a sheer, light tangerine. I used 2 coats on my pinky and 3 coats on my ring nail. It is very sheer on the first coat but does build up nicely. This is another color that would be perfect for all kinds of nail art.

The next duo I have to share is Let It Snow and Staycation. You can buy these as the “Warm Me Up” 2 piece set for $13.99 or $8 individually at Duri.com.
- Let It Snow (index and middle nails) is a very light, milky gray creme. Use the same application tip I gave above and you should not get any streaks. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- Staycation (ring and pinky nails) is a soft terra cotta creme. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

The last duo I have is Break the Ice and Freeze the Day. You can buy these together as the “Cold You So” 2 piece set for $13.99 or $8 individually at Duri.com.
- Break the Ice (Index and middle nails) is a dusty turquoise creme. This had a great formula, nice and smooth. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- Freeze the Day (ring and pinky nails) is a dusty cornflower blue crelly. Another excellent formula. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

Although I enjoyed all these colors, that last duo was my favorite!

I got Freeze the Day. I think it’s pretty but I probably have dupes of it in my collection.
