Hi everyone! Today I have the whole Holiday 2019 Hello Kitty Collection from OPI to share with you. There are 15 polishes in total in this collection. If you’ve been to my blog before, you know what 15 polishes in one post is like. Get comfy, this is a long, picture heavy post!
There are 15 total polishes in this collection. There is the normal 12 colors then a special 3 piece glitter collection as well. I bought all of these at PolishPick.com. OPI’s are just $5.50 each there and shipping is reasonable as well.
Let’s just jump right in. I’ll start with the 12 piece collection.
OPI A Hush of Blush – This is a soft pink blush with silver shimmer running through it. The shimmer gives it a bit of a frosty look and adds in brushstrokes. It has a good formula. It applies smooth and easy, it just has some brushstrokes. I did 2 coats plus topcoat on all but my pinky I left at 1 coat plus topcoat.

OPI A Kiss On the Chic – This is a brown leaning red creme/crelly. It applies smooth and even. There is no streaking or unevenness. I used 2 easy coats plus topcoat.

OPI All About the Bows – This is a rosy red crelly. It applies so smooth and even! It dries really shiny too! I used 2 coats without topcoat but I left my pinky at 1 coat without topcoat.

Here is a quick comparison of those two reds. All About the Bows is on my ring and pinkie nails and A Kiss On the Chic is on my index and middle nails. I hope you can see that Bows is more of a rosy red while Kiss is more of a brownstone red. This is 2 coats of each without topcoat.

OPI Glitter To My Heart – This is a clear base with white matte and silver sparkly glitter. I did not have to fish out any glitter or dab it into place. These photos are just 1 brushed on coat over Let’s Be Friends without topcoat. In some of the photos the silver glitter look black but that is just a trick of the light and hand position. It’s all white or silver glitter.

OPI Hello Pretty – This is a deep grape purple crelly, on the dusty side. It applies smooth and even. The bottle shows some sparse silver glitter, and I do see it in the photos, but I could not see it on my nails with my old eyes. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

Here is Hello Pretty with some of the glitter toppers. Index and middle is Glitter To My Heart, ring is Born To Sparkle and pinky is Glitter All the Way…
OPI Isn’t She Iconic! – This is a silvery gray foil. It is smooth and even to apply. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

OPI Let Love Sparkle – This is a frosty, ice blue with some bright blue micro glitter. The first coat went on pretty even but brushstrokey. I’m not a fan of this frosty, thick, weird polish finish and I wish OPI would stop trying to make it work. This could have been so pretty with those bright blue glitters but it was just a mess for me. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

OPI Let’s Be Friends – This is the only color that was re-issued from the first Hello Kitty collection back in 2015. This is a barely pink tinged white creme/crelly. This applies so smooth and even and dries shiny. If you do get streaks, float on the second coat, hold the brush pretty much perpendicular to the nail and barely touch the nail and just pull the polish up (or down). It self levels really well too. I used 2 coats plus topcoat but left my pinky at just 1 coat plus topcoat.

OPI Let’s Celebrate! – This is a barely pink tinted base with tons of pink and multi holo glitter and shimmer flecks. I thought from the bottle it would be more opaque than it was. I like it better as a topper than on it’s own. It does dry smooth. I have 3 coats alone on my index and middle, 2 coats over a black creme on my ring nail and 2 coats over Let’s Be Friends on my pinky nail.

OPI Many Celebrations To Go! – This is a nude gold with silver shimmer. It’s kind of sheer and has some brushstrokes on the first coat. The second coat built up nicely and the brushstrokes seemed to dry down pretty well. It’s a nice color, but maybe not right with my skin tone. I used 2 coats without topcoat.

OPI My Favorite Gal Pal – This is a deep blue leaning teal crelly at one coat. With a second coat it turns more deep navy blue. It applied smooth and even. I used 2 coats without topcoat.

OPI Pile On The Sprinkles – This is a barely purple tinted base with purple, pink and multi holo glitter and pink shimmer flecks. It is sheer on it’s own, I prefer it as a topper. I used 3 coats alone on my index, 1 coat over Hello Pretty on my middle, 1 coat over a black creme on my ring and 1 coat over Let’s Be Friends on my pinky.

And the Glitter Trio Collection:
OPI Born To Sparkle – This is a rose gold glitter topper. It has a clear base and glitter all in one color but a few sizes. The glitter came out easily. I did have to maneuver it where I wanted it on the nail a bit. I like this combo! This one is a little chunkier looking with the bigger glitter pieces. I added one coat of Born to Sparkle over my Many Celebrations To Go swatch. I did not use any topcoat but it dries pretty smooth. I think you should only need one coat of topcoat.

OPI Dream In Glitter – This is a clear base with shiny red glitter. I just brushed on one coat over my A Hush Of Blush swatch. It dried very smooth. I did not use topcoat but I would think one coat would be enough.

OPI Glitter All the Way – This is a clear base with yellow gold glitter in a couple of sizes and gold shimmer too. It comes out and brushes on easily. I used 1 light coat over my Let Love Sparkle swatch. I did not use topcoat but it dries pretty smooth, you would probably only need one coat.

Here are the four glitter polishes all on their own. I think this is 2 coats of each without topcoat.

Comparisons!!
Hannah wanted to know what Glitter To My Heart looked like compared to Dreams On A Silver Platter. I can see where she thought these could look similar but Dreams has gold glitter in addition to the white and silver. This is one coat of each on a black swatch stick…
I also grabbed Born to Sparkle, I Pull the Strings and Gold Key to the Kingdom because they looked somewhat similar. Except for the micro glitter in the last two, I Pull the Strings looks like a mash up of the other two. This is one coat of each on a black swatch stick…
Whew! Did you make it to the bottom? What do you think of the collection? Let me know in the comments. And as always, if you want to see a comparison, leave me a comment and if I have it I will swatch them for you!
I feel like OPI has had better holiday collections in the past. There are some great polishes in this one too, they are just a bit on the boring side for holiday, in my opinion.
My favorites are: Let’s Be Friends, Hello Pretty and Glitter To My Heart.
Remember to check out PolishPick.com and let them know I sent you! 🙂
Here’s a final collage of all 15 colors…

Many thanks indeed for all your hard work and effort put in, helping us to make informed decisions. You are right about the awful finish on ‘Let Love Sparkle’. What on earth are OPI thinking of in making such hideous looking polishes at times? I would be so disappointed if I had wasted my money on that one. I am pleased to see some much finer glitters instead of the chunky ones, which can be a nightmare to apply evenly and take off again. Because of your wonderful photos and expert reviews, I will definitely be buying ‘Dream In Glitter’ and ‘Lets Celebrate’.
I love how detailed your posts are! Thank you. Would you mind doing a comparison of these glitter toppers to the ones from the Nutcracker collection please? Glitter to My Heart reminds me so much of Dreams on a Silver Platter! Do they look similar on the nail or only in my head?
Hi Hannah!
Thank you for checking out my blog, I’m so happy you enjoyed the post! I added in a few comparison photos for you at the end of the post. I hope they are helpful!
Wonderful review on this collection!! I was looking for a true dark navy polish, would you say this “My favorite Gal Pal” is the closest to true dark navy as far as OPI colors? Too many read too purple-based or too green-based.
