Update: Using Orly One Night Stand Peel Off Basecoat

Hi everyone!  So I have to do a quick update to my post from this morning.  I said I had just tried the Orly peel off basecoat One Night Stand with my glitterbomb mani of Fancy Gloss Haunted Beauty.  Well, it seems to work great – probably too well.

A quick reminder…I used just regular basecoat on my index,
2 coats of Orly One Night Stand on my middle and ring
and 1 coat of One Night Stand on my pinky

I have just spent about an hour breaking down boxes and I looked down and the two nails that I had put 2 coats of One Night Stand on were nekkid!!  I found one of the popped off polish’s on the floor.  Not sure what happened to the other – it must have fallen into the trash bag.  The finger I put only 1 coat on was still holding on.  I did just pry that one up and it didn’t want to come off quite as cleanly as the other two nails, but it did come off in one large piece and a couple small bits.

So I guess this peel off basecoat is a win especially if you use 2 coats.  I think it would have held on longer if I hadn’t been being so tough on them with the boxes.

Here are a couple of really quick pics of the destruction…

Well, I’m really glad to have this in my arsenal now.  Although I will usually use a scrubby tub for glitter removal without much of a hassle anyway, this will still make things easier and less contact with acetone is always a good thing.

Thanks for stopping by!
What’s your preferred method of glitter removal?
Or do you just shun glitter because the thought of removal
makes your skin crawl?
