Hi everyone! Today I have a pretty manicure to share with you. It’s Chinese New Year and the building I live in is heavily Asian, so we have a traditional Lion Dance and other things going on for the New Year. It’s always exciting to be a part of such traditions. So I did a red and gold manicure in honor of Chinese New Year. It’s the year of the Monkey this year.
Sinful Colors Hot Chilli (that’s how they spelled it) is a rust red base with chunky holo and gold glitter and small holo glitter. Formula is excellent! This could be a OCW! (one coat wonder) but the second coat does deepen the color. I’ve read other reviews saying this is a textured polish. I would not call this a texture; mine dried pretty smooth and I only used one coat of topcoat. My photos look kind of bumpy, but it doesn’t seem as extreme as a texture to me. I think the chunky glitter just makes it look bumpy in photos. Loving this nail polish with the glitter twinkling like crazy on my fingernails. I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of topcoat for the photos.
Finger Paints Um-berella is another nail polish from the new display at Sally Beauty. I really love this one a lot! It’s a gold base with gold, holo and iridescent glitter and shimmer. Really beautiful! Another excellent formula. It builds up very well to be opaque in two coats. Dries smooth. I used 2 coats plus 1 coat of topcoat for the photos.
I’ve had this manicure on for 3 days now and it’s held up remarkably well! So I have quite a few photos to share with you.
