Hi everyone! Today’s manicure comes to us from Essence. I didn’t know this until last week, but you can order Essence polishes online HERE in the US. I will tell you about my experience ordering from them for the first time after the jump.
I placed my order for all 7 polishes from the Out Of Space Stories Collection from the website and when I got them (just a couple days later, it was very fast shipping!) one of the necks had broke from one of the bottles spilling polish and broken glass all over the other six bottles. They were wrapped in tissue paper and that too was glued on all the bottles and labels from the dried, spilled polish.
I sent them an email (with photos) on the weekend and they replied back to me first thing Monday morning. When I explained that all the bottles were really unusable and there was broken glass all throughout the package, they were very quick to say they would replace all of the bottles. Which they shipped out the next day and I got just about two days later.
Now, when I got the replacement package, one of the bottles did not have the lid on tight for some reason (it was actually Space Glam that I am wearing today), but the mess was contained to just that one bottle and really just the lid and threads were messed up from that, so I cleaned that up no problem. So their customer service is top notch if there is a problem.
Now onto the two polishes I chose to wear first from this collection…
I chose 03 Space Glam which is a rose color with a very strong gold shimmer. This really reminded me of something I had worn very recently and I will show you a comparison to that polish, Nails Inc Dream Dust from the recent Sparkle Like A Unicorn Duo, at the bottom of this post.
Space Glam had a very good formula. I used just two coats plus topcoat on my ring and middle finger nails today. You may need three coats depending on the thickness you apply and how you feel about visible nail line.
I also chose 07 1000 Light Years Away to wear today on my index and pinky finger nails. This was a little thick. I added a couple drops of nail polish thinner. This is a black base with holo glitter in a few sizes as well as holo shimmer. Formula was really good. One to two coats will be needed along with two coats of topcoat for super smoothness. I used two coats of color and just one coat of topcoat and it is the tiniest bit bumpy still.
Essence 1000 Light Years Away (index and pinky), 2 coats plus topcoat & Essence Space Glam (middle and ring), 2 coats plus topcoat.
I finally have my light box put together! so these are in the light box…
Inside with flash…
Here is the whole Out Of Space Stories Collection from Essence…
Here is a comparison between Nails Inc Dream Dust from the recent Sparkle Like A Unicorn Duo and Essence Space Glam. These are pretty near perfect dupes to my eye. The essence is a bit more sheer so needs 3 coats to look like 2 coats of the Nails Inc. Other than that, I would call them almost perfect dupes!
Well, there we have it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
The polish in this post is from my own collection and was purchased by me.
