Hi everyone! Quixotic Polish had a special gift with purchase on Black Friday this year; with any $30 purchase you got free (yes, I said FREE!) 3 prototypes! You’ve got to love Mary, she is so generous! I posted a photo of my three protos in the Quixotic Fan Facebook page and this one got the most comments so I chose this one to wear first. The prototypes are no longer available, but you can’t go wrong with any of the pretty things in her shop (trust me, I own almost all of them!)! Check everything out HERE. I’m not affiliated.
This Quixotic Prototype looks, in the bottle, like a lime green with a strong gold shimmer and multi colored holo shimmer also. That pretty well describes it on the nail when you wear it alone too, except in low light you’ll see an almost peach shift, and in bright light you’ll see it turn emerald green. I also put this over white which almost makes it take on a very light aqua blue tint and over black, wowza!, a gorgeous multichrome that shifts gold, brown, green, olive green, emerald green and even into a pink. It’s amazing and it really needs to be available as a regular polish!
The formula was great, as usual. I used three coats alone on my index and pinky. You can still see a little visible nail line at some angles. I also used just one coat over white (Quixotic Hemlock) on my middle nail. And one coat over black (Quixotic Shadow) on my ring nail. I love it all three ways!!
On a side note, Shadow (black creme) and Hemlock (white creme) both looked great at just one coat themselves! I would highly recommend them both!
Quixotic Polish Prototype, 3 coats alone on pinky and index, 1 coat over 1 coat of white on middle and 1 coat over 1 coat of black on ring nail. All nails have just 1 coat of topcoat on top.
