1850 Artisan Polish – Sparkly Skittles

Hi everyone! So I was looking back at my blog for 2020 and I realize I made a whopping  13 posts! For the whole year! I thank you all for continuing to follow along with me even though I hardly ever posted! I hope to get back into posting more regularly in 2021! I don’t get much, if any, PR from brands so this will be a journey through my stash.

I have thousands of bottles of nail polish. Many of them unworn. To keep up with that many polishes, I have a spreadsheet. I’m going to start at the top of my spreadsheet and dedicate one (or maybe more) post(s) highlighting  a few polishes from each brand I own.

I’m starting with 1850 Artisan Polish. Here is a pink/purple sparkly skittle mani.

1850 Artisan Polish: Make It Pink, Hollywood, True Loves Kiss, At Last I See the Light.

For this mani I used:

  • Index – Make it pink — (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a light pink with a strong blue/purple shimmer and some holo sparkle. The official description is, “an electric pink with strong blue flash that is filled with the magical sparks of holo microflakes”.

  • Middle – Hollywood — (2 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a medium rosy pink with scattered holo micro glitter. The official description is, “A metallic electric violet pink with scattered silver, fuchsia, and turquoise holo glitters”.
1850 Artisan Polish: Hollywood
  • Ring – True Love’s Kiss — (3 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a hot pink jelly with multi sparkly glitter. The official description was, “bright pink, has a beautiful blue flash and is loaded with fuchsia and silver holographic glitters”.

  • Pinkie – At Last I See the Light — (3 coats plus topcoat) I see this as a purple jelly with multi colored holo glitter. The official description was, “a purple jelly base filled with two sizes of purple holographic glitter and silver holographic glitter”.

The formulas were all really good.  The brushes are on the thin side, but really easy to work with. 1850 Artisan Polish debuted 3 years ago (January 2018). I’ve met the maker, Nikki, a couple of times at local Indie Shops here in California. She is the sweetest person! I have 32 of her polishes including one top coat.  I am a fan of the polish and the maker so I hope you will check her out!
