Hi everyone! Today I have the last six polishes from the new/upcoming China Glaze Ready To Wear FW 18 Collection! This is a 12 piece collection with a variety of finishes.
You can check out Part 1 of this collection HERE!

I’ll dive right in to the last 6 polishes in the collection in alphabetical order.
- Pleather Weather – This is a cement gray that surprised me by drying to a waxy matte finish. This formula was so thin! It was almost unusable it was so thin! If you don’t want super pooling in the cuticles you will need to let all the polish drip off the brush into the bottle neck and just use what’s left on the brush. That will give you a very sheer, thin and streaky first coat. It does tend to self level and the second coat is a little easier to manage. It dries to a waxy matte finish which is pretty cool but it is one of the more difficult polishes I’ve worked with in a while. There is no shimmer or anything for a glossy topcoat to show so I didn’t take any photos of it but the glossy topcoat may hide some of the imperfections and unevenness. I used 3 coats without topcoat on all but my pinkie nail I left at 2 coats.

- Sample Sizing Me Up – This is a medium dusty denim or wedgewood blue creme. This applied very smooth and easy. There were no streaks and it dried shiny. This is an unusual blue color. It was hard to get an accurate photo of it. The polish in person is dustier than my photos show, they are a little too bright of a blue. I used 2 coats plus topcoat. I didn’t have any staining upon removal either.

- Swatch Out! – This is a golden/copper/bronze foil finish with silver shimmer/glitter. This applied easily without any streaks but there are brushstrokes. They are not as noticeable as with some polish because this one has a very shiny finish. I don’t know if this type of color looks good on my skin tone, but this is a very pretty color and a nice polish! I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

- Throwing Suede – This is a slight pink/lavender tinged nude creme. The first coat applied a bit streaky. The second coat was better, but this was not the easiest formula nor the worst to work with. I love the final look of this type of color, so it’s worth a little struggle to me. This did end up self leveling and looked very smooth after the second coat and topcoat. I used 2 coats with topcoat.

- Vest Friends – This is a forest green base with a lot of silver shimmer. This has a similar finish to Swatch Out!. It is easy to apply (watch for drips running down the brush stem). The first coat is nice and even but there are brushstrokes. They are well hidden in all the shiny shimmer. I used 2 coats without topcoat.

- You Don’t Know Jacket – This is a deep, dark navy creme/crelly. This one glides on easily. There are no streaks. I was extra careful when applying to not get this in my cuticles so I wouldn’t have any cleanup. Watch out for a lot of polish to come out on the brush, let some of it drip back into the bottle neck. Also watch out for drips of polish to run down the brush stem. Inside this is a very dark color, you may not really realize it’s even blue. I used just 1 coat without topcoat! I did not have any staining upon removal.

Love your swatches, especially like all your different lighting pictures. It really helps me decide what to buy. Can you compare Autumn I need that to Essie’s Frock n Roll? Thanks

Hi Debra!
Thank you for checking out my blog and liking what you see!! 🙂
I don’t have that Essie, but looking at online photos, it looks like the shimmer particles are bigger on the China Glaze, plus there are a couple colors of shimmer too. Just looking at online pictures, I like the look of Aut-umn better. Sorry I can’t compare them for you!
